The Bicycle Shower

Combining your workout with a shower could save some time, I suppose. Though I'm not sure if that was the intended purpose of this invention. From the Chicago Tribune, Jan 18, 1903.

A "greeen" shower. Uses re"cycle"d water, uses no electricity to pump the water, no water flow to the sewer or septic system.

Totally eco-friendly - but maybe not so people friendly.

I mean, how are you and your babe gonna have some shower fun if one of ya has to peddle all the time.

This would be great for Gilligan (seems like he was always peddling some crazy bammboo invention of the Prof.'s).

Maybe someone can find the story, but there was a piece way back about someone who geared a stationary bike up to a generator that powered their TV. For the TV to work, someone had to ride the bike. Stop riding, the TV went blank. The wife and kids lost tons of weight.

It's good interval riding though, 5-6 minutes of show riding, broken up by 3-4 minutes of commercials.

Maybe a WU intern can dig up more stories about things powered by a bicycle.

Ok, I'll play. Expat ~ what exactly is 'buddy-showering'?

Skitt - It must be a Navy term.

Expat - Sorry, but I am an Army dog at heart.

*giggles at Maxx* If that's the job description to be a WU intern... where do I apply?
Posted by Nethie on 04/21/09 at 07:07 PM
Sorry Skitt. Forgot about the whole time zone thingy. I was already at home and sipping some wine. On the plus side, if your boss is into women, you may be getting a raise soon.

Nethie - I do purely freelance work.

I'm surprised nobody has noticed the enema hose attachment.
