i don't wear heel, in my experience you can not get good traction in them.

Well you have to admit, shoes on a telephone wire are slightly different than gum under a table. People usually just stick their gum wherever, and a table is the closest place that wouldn't be obvious. I doubt, on the other hand, that people say "I'm done with these shoes for now, but I'm nowhere near a closet. Oh, I know! I'll tie them together and then put them way up there on a telephone line!"
