Once upon a time, there was a kindly old lady who specialized in creating gruesome murder dioramas. Her name was Frances Glessner Lee, and her little scenes went on to educate criminologists for decades.

There was a serial killer on CSI (back when Grisham was still there) who made dioramas of her crime scenes. The character must have been inspired by this lady.

How about the fact that she had to wait until age 52 and the death of her brother before she could do what truly what she wanted to with her life? You go, girl!

That was my first thought too Alex. I liked the episode where the lab guy was investigating to help Grisom and found that there was bleach in each diorama. I liked Grisom a lot, he was nerdy cool! 😛
