Late 1960s, early 1870s were the only time I really liked me clothes. Before and after that, they were/are utilitarian covering, and my biggest concern was/is that they're clean and don't have holes.
Black velvet bell-bottoms, white bell-bottoms, raw silk shirts, flannel t-shirts, tie-dyed fatigues, and belts so wide . . .

I had bell bottoms on in '67 when I went to boot camp. Even had a Narrou jacket for awhile but that was it!!

Ahh yes... the late '60's-early '70's when clothing designers realized that what people really wanted was more room at the ankles of their pants and built-in napkins at the neckline of their shirts.

OMG! I used to have a pair of shoes exactly like the style shown on the first page. The soles were made of what appeared to be ground up and pressed rubber bands - they were not very durable for the price I remember paying for them.

Fortunately I got the 'fashion infection' out of my system in the 60's (Carnaby Street, mod, op).
I was immune by the time the disco-virus started making the rounds. It was T-shirts and Levis for me by then. I had a 'job' and 'worked' for less-than-minimum wage.
