I've managed in 27 years of life to never see one in person, lucky me. There was a spider in my shower this morning - you guessed it, I screamed and went to find a kitty to kill it.

Ants on the other hand...those thing had permanant residence in my parents house, as well as every other house in the neighborhood. Giant carpenter ants - I swear those things could have carried away the cat!

Damn Jules, talk about slamming me with that one! I live outside the city limits in a clean community and I drive my wife insane with my obsessive cleaning. All I can imagine is it must have something to do with the area having once been a swamp.
