Window Seat

Designed by Argentinian architect Aldana Ferrer Garcia to allow apartment dwellers to sit and look up at the sky.

Probably safe in theory, assuming it was installed correctly. But I wouldn't trust it.

Reminds me of the girl on a swing scene in the movie "The Loved One."

'The Window Box Murder' episode of Colombo. " Excuse me sir, just one more thing, why are there screws identical to the ones missing from the window box in your trash?"

After many years in construction, I've learned to never trust engineers' designs further than I can safely fall.

I'm uncomfortable even facing windows in a high-rise (acrophobia). There's no way I'd turn my back on one!

Structurally: if it was a fixed unit, no problem; as something that pivots from flat to extended, no way you're getting liability insurance to manufacture those things.

We live in a house now, but when we lived in apartments growing up, we had another method. We would open the door and go outside. Probably too much effort or not safe nowadays.
