Whey to go, Froggie!
Elmer has been using left over milk to make glue for decades!

Ok.. for you citified folk who don't know diddly-squat about farm stuff - whey is what you've got when you remove all the cream from milk. It's the watery stuff in cottage cheese (known once as "curds & whey"). It's 0% milk (which isn't, really milk). It's the stuff dairy farmers get paid for by weight but make less money on than cream.

Let me see if I can put that last one into better perspective.... Dairy companies pay farmers for both cream and whey (milk) but at greatly different rates. Cream pays the big bucks. So, if we extrapolate that and put it on the dairy shelf in Piggly-Wiggly's... you're paying the same $$ for 3.25% milk and 0% milk whey. Feeling ripped off yet?

This article reminds me of this:

http://www.nytimes.com/2013/12/24/us/wisconsin-finds-another-role-for-cheese-de-icing-roads.html

Basically they were using brine, which is a salty by-product of mozzarella and provolone cheese to de-ice roads in Wisconsin. Especially brilliant as they had a hard time getting rid of they by-product efficiently so using it on roads as a de-icer solves two problems. I wonder if they are still doing that.

It still ends up in the environment when dumped on icy roads.

And the brine helps rust out cars, helping out neighboring Michigan!

But it's ORGANIC Patty. Water & salt the primary ingredients of hoo-mans.

So is rattlesnake venom, organic that is.

But hoo-mans and snakes aren't compatible.

A moose licked a guy's car clean because it was covered in road salt:
