Walk around with a rifle and if you manage to avoid arrest the coyotes will disappear. They know what a gun is. So do many critters who are regularly hunted. Also they have a good idea when a hunting season is open. Elk move to farms and mingle with the cattle during hunting season.

It would be more useful if you could trap the coyotes and ship them in cities with a high squirrel and raccoon population. Then, if there are too many coyotes, we can implement a hunting season and give the carcasses to homeless shelters.
